Interviewed by The Independent (UK) on Just War Theory applied to the Iran War, especially US and Israeli actions. He was also interviewed by BNN Bloomberg on joint Canadian-Ukrainian partnerships for drone production in Canada, twice by the new media organization Canadian Affairs about Canadian defence priorities and about Canadian peacekeeping and the news magazine Canadian Dimension about the withdrawal from the Ottawa Landmine Convention by five European countries.

Interviewed by CBC's Natasha Fatah on the US-Ukraine talks for a peace agreement, by CBC’s Deana Sumanac-Johnson on a Carney-Zelensky meeting, and BNN Bloomberg’s Merella Fernandez to assess the 28-point peace plan and on the resignation of Ukraine’s top peace negotiator (YouTube). He was interviewed by CTV’s Akshay Tandon on US operations in and around Venezuela. Finally, he was interviewed by Devex on UN support for the Gang Suppression Force in Haiti.

Interviewed by the Toronto Star on Canadian contributions to a potential force in Gaza, and by Canadaland for a podcast about “Should Gaza Compel a Return to Canadian Peacekeeping?” He was interviewed for interviewed for a podcast on Canadian peacekeepers in Cyprus. He was also interviewed by CBC News Network on Trumps changed view on Ukraine gaining back its territory and about the Trump-Zelensky meeting. CTV News Channel interviewed him about an attack on Kyiv. CTV and Le Devoir interviewed him about Russian drones in Polish airspace. Interviewed by the Canadian Press for an article published in The Globe and Mail under the title “Canada missing UN target for number of female soldiers on peacekeeping missions, in the National Post under “Trudeau's feminist foreign policy legacy falters as Canada falls short on women in peacekeeping” and The Chronicle-Journal under “Number of female Canadian soldiers on UN peacekeeping missions craters.” The Hill Times interviewed him on Canada’s financial contributions to UN peacekeeping. He was quoted in Le Devoir about a potential future Canadian military presence in Ukraine. He was interviewed live on CBC News Network about PM Carney's visit to Kyiv, and earlier on the lead up to the Trump-Putin Summit. Also, CTV News Channel interviewed him on the Trump-Putin meeting in Alaska, on preparations for it, on Trump’s plans, on earlier ceasefire deadlines (that came and went), on the Trump-Putin and Trump-Zelensky calls, and on the record number of drone/missile attacks on Ukraine. He was interviewed by the Swedish Broadcasting Corporation (Sveriges Radio) to compare the Gaza situation with the Rwandan genocide.

Interviewed by BNN Bloomberg on Canada’s participation in Trump’s proposed Golden Dome missile defence. He was interviewed by CTV News Channel on Russian-Ukrainian peace talks in Istanbul and earlier on Russian attacks and prospects for a ceasefire deal. He was on Global News 640 Radio (Toronto) about the proposal for a 30-day ceasefire on energy infrastructure. CTV NewsChannel interviewed him about the Trump-Putin talks over Ukraine. He answered questions from Expresso (Portugal) on the Starlink system usage in Ukraine. The French economic media BFM Business asked him about a possible South Africa withdrawal of troops (as peacekeepers) from the DRC.
December, January 2024 and February 2025
Iinterviewed on CBC News Network about a Russian intermediate-range missile attack against Ukraine, about a potential ceasefire,about the last Biden Administration aid package aid to Ukraine, and about Trump’s approach to negotiations over Ukraine. He did a CPAC interview about the US-Ukraine dispute and a radio interview about Ukraine War more generally with CHUO 89.1FM. He spoke to the Globe & Mail and Global News about the withdrawal of Canadian peacekeepers from DRC and the Ottawa Citizen about CAF contributions to UN peacekeeping. He also spoke to the Globe&Mail about the situation in Haiti. He was interviewed by Parksville Qualicum Beach News on Peace Train meetings with parliamentarians in Ottawa. He answered a question from Newsweek: “Has WWIII already begun, and why?” and responded to questions about WWIII predications by Expresso (Portugal’s largest newspaper).

Interviewed on CTV News Channel about particularly vicious Russian drone attacks on Ukraine. He was interviewed on CBC News Network about Russian attacks on Kharkiv. He answered questions from CBC web media (David Common) on the status of the Ukraine War. He was interviewed by CPAC Prime Time Politics on the attacks between Israel and Iran. The Globe and Mail asked him about a potential peace operation for Sudan. He was interviewed by the Edmonton Journal on the Peace Train events in Ottawa and on US president-elect Trump’s challenge to the liberal world order. The Expresso (Portugal) asked him about the idea of an EU intelligence agency and a Defence Commissioner, and separately about Russian advances towards Pokrovsk. A journalist writing for The Walrus interviewed him about the decline of Canadian peacekeeping.
June-July-August 2024
Interviewed by CBC News Network about Ukraine’s invasion into Russia, and earlier about the Ukraine peace conference in Switzerland and about his proposals in the New York Times for a future peace agreement. CBC also interviewed him on the 30th anniversary of the Turkish attack in Cyprus and the response of the Canadian peacekeepers stationed there. He was interviewed online by Expresso news media (Portugal) about the Biden's nuclear strategy refocus on the Chinese threat, red lines placed on Ukraine in its war with Russia, and Ukraine peace possibilities. Dr. Dorn was also interviewed by Al-Sharq News on arms control in the US and globally. CTV News Channel interviewed him about the G7 Summit discussions on the Russo-Ukraine War and again on CTV on Putin’s conditions to end the war.

Dr. Dorn did television interviews about the war in Ukraine for CBC The National (min 6:45) regarding Russia’s Kherson withdrawal, and for CBC News Network (CBC) and CTV News Channel (CTV) regarding: a missile falling in Polish territory (CTV); the liberation of Kherson (CTV, CBC); an attack in Belgorod, Russia (CTV); Russian missile barrage (Global TV, CBC); the attack on Kerch Straight Bridge to Crimea (CityNews Toronto); on Russia’s battlefield woes (CTV); and Russia’s attempted illegal annexation of four Ukrainian oblasts and Ukraine’s desire to join NATO (CBC); Ukraine’s counter-offensive (CBC); and rapid advances in Kharkiv oblast (CBC). Dr. Dorn also did interviews for print/web media: CBC on NATO AWACS flights in Poland near the Ukrainian border; Franceinfo on the missile landing in Poland; Expresso (“Portugal's leading newspaper”) on the announced Russian withdrawal from Kherson; and Spanish newspaper El Periodico de España (www.epe.es), on a peace process in Ukraine. The Montreal Gazette quoted from Dr. Dorn’s website on the number of Canadian forces personnel in UN peacekeeping, as did The Province (BC). Dr. Dorn did radio interviews: CityNews (RobSnow show); 770 CHQR Radio in Calgary on NATO’s articles 4 and 5. Dr. Dorn was interviewed by the CBC Ombudsman’s office about the network’s coverage of the Ukraine-Russia conflict.

Dr. Dorn did television interviews about the war in Ukraine on CBC News Network (CBC NN) regarding the attack on a Russian airbase in Crimea (CBC), on Defence Minister Anand’s announcement of a resumed Canadian training mission (CBC), on the grain deal and Odessa (CBC), on battle for Luhansk province, on NATO’s support (CBC), and the idea of a “long war” (CBC), on fighting in Sievierodonetsk/Donbass (CBC), on the 100-day mark of the war (CBC). He also did TV interviews with CTV News Channel on the war generally (CTV), on Canadian military equipment provided to Ukraine (CTV), on Russian attacks (CTV), on US military support for Ukraine (CTV), and Russian war crimes in Kharkiv (CTV). He also did an interview with Global TV on Canadian citizens fighting in Ukraine. For radio, he did interviews on Ukraine for Corus radio stations. With print and web media, Dr. Dorn did interviews with the CBC, the National Post and the Hill Times on Canadian peacekeeping pledges and contributions.
